The Hong Kong School Drama Festival 20011/12 (HKSDF) is organized by its Steering Committee, presented by the Education Bureau, produced by Hong Kong Art School, and sponsored by The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. The aim of the Hong Kong School Festival (the Festival) is to encourage primary and
secondary schools to develop drama as a regular co-curricular activity. The event consists of 3 phases: Teacher & Student Training Phase, School Performance Phase and Public Performance Phase. |

The Teacher Training Phase |

|
Teachers have a 21-hour training course in drama for their preparation of the School Performance Phase. School Performance Phase: 535 teams participated in the Cantonese, Putonghua or English drama category. |

The Public Performance Phase |

|
Featuring the schools receiving Adjudicators' Awards, public performances will be carried out at locations sponsored by the LCSD. |

The Student Training Phase
|

|
In school performance phase, all "Outstanding Actor Award" or "Outstanding Actress Award" secondary school students can take part in the "Outstanding Student Drama Course" selection. After the audition, selected students will have a drama course and do a showcase performance. |
