Academic year 2011/12 Drama Festival Open for Application!

The aim of the Hong Kong School Festival (the Festival) is to encourage primary and secondary schools to develop drama as a regular co-curricular activity. The activity is sponsored by the Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon.

Owing to the constraint of venue, a maximum of 535 drama teams can be accommodated this year. Similar to last year, the events of the Festival will be organized in three phases, including the Training Phase, School Performance Phase and Public Performance Phase. Please refer to the Hong Kong School Drama Festival website for details of the Festival as well as application for the Training Courses on Drama for School Teachers.

To facilitate the production of a play in the School Performance Phase, primary and secondary schools will receive a cash grant of $2,250 and $2,450 respectively for each of the approved entries (English/Cantonese/Putonghua). For those primary and secondary schools which will be invited to perform in the Public Performance Phase, they will be eligible for an
additional cash grant of $2,900 for each play.

Schools which wish to join the Festival are requested to complete the attached application form and return it by mail to the Extended Support Programmes Section, Room 1106A, 11/F Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong (Please state "HKSDF 2011/2012" on the envelope) on or before 10 October 2011 (Monday).
